How do I know if my computer supports USB 3.0?

Category : Setup / Operation

Please follow the instructions below to check if your computer supports USB 3.0:
(1) Make sure that your computer has a USB 3.0 port (refer to your motherboard specification if needed). If your computer does not support USB 3.0, you may install an interface card.
(2) Check your Windows OS. USB 3.0 drivers packaged with your motherboard or USB interface card are required for WinXP, WinVista and Win7.
(3) Right click on "My Computer," and select "Hardware." Select “Device Manager.” Expand “Universal Serial Bus Controllers” node, and verify if you can find “USB 3.0” or “Enhanced Host Controller Interface” in it.

Note: Many devices do not need to install drivers, such as Transcend JetFlash series, on WinXP, WinVista and Win7.
