Transcend donates USB flash drives to support needy children in India

Leading global memory manufacturer Transcend is pleased to announce its collaboration with strategic partner Bharti Enterprises to help support the Satya Bharti School Program in India. In a gesture of goodwill and compassion, Transcend has pledged to donate 500 2GB JetFlash V33 USB flash drives through the Bharti Foundation to needy children and schools in the remotest villages of India. Transcend believes that education is the key to economic and social development and this sponsorship shows Transcend's commitment to expand its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in India. In the future, Transcend will continue to participate in more charitable activities to express its appreciation for the continued support of valued customers throughout India.

The Bharti Foundation is the CSR arm of Bharti Enterprises, one of India`s leading business groups with interests in telecom, retail, manufacturing, agri business and financial services. The vision of the foundation is to deliver free quality education to the underprivileged children and youth of India. Launched in 2006, the Satya Bharti School Program is the Bharti Foundation`s flagship program. It already has 158 operational schools to its credit, reaching out to over 17000 children across India.
