Transcend participates in Amazon.com's "Frustration Free Packaging" project

2008/11/16
Transcend is pleased to announce its participation as a pioneering partner in Amazon.com's special "Frustration Free Packaging" project that eliminates wasteful, hard-to-open packaging and allows end-users to unpack products quickly and easily. Beginning on November 3rd, consumers who are tired of opening hard plastic clamshell or blister-packs when buying new memory cards can opt for products listed in Amazon`s "Frustration-Free Packaging," which include Transcend brand memory cards shipped inside recyclable cardboard envelopes. In addition to making packages easier to open, the Frustration-Free Packaging initiative also aims to reduce environmentally harmful waste by using less packaging material overall.

Frustration-Free Packaging is being launched in the U.S. with 19 bestselling products from leading manufacturers including Transcend, Fisher-Price, Mattel and Microsoft. Participating products are exactly the same as their previous versions - Amazon has just streamlined the packaging. Customers can now order select items with the new Frustration-Free Packaging for immediate delivery. For a list of Amazon's current collection of Frustration-Free products, please visit www.amazon.com/packaging. The project will expand across Amazon`s international sites starting in 2009.
